Project name: Aspire @ Achieve through CashBack
Age range: 12-21 years
Aspire @ Achieve Through CashBack (A&A) is a diversionary early intervention youth work program for young people 12 to 21 who are disengaged from school or at risk of becoming not in education, training or employment, and living in the Glasgow communities of Easterhouse and North Maryhill. Nominated by schools, social work and trusted adults, participants engage in weekly sessions that reflect their interests and needs. Activities will be shaped and co-designed with participants, but will range from sport, cycling, and creative arts to mindfulness and wellbeing activities. The programme embeds SQA accredited awards in employability, childcare, and cycling, enabling young people to build CVs and progress towards volunteering, peer mentoring, and youth leadership roles. Through trauma-informed practice and peer mentoring, young people build confidence, friendships, and life skills.
Activities include:
Skills for life and work
Volunteering & Peer mentoring
Wellbeing support

By engaging young people in meaningful experiences and relationships, and guiding them toward recognised qualifications, A&A promotes resilience and supports lasting change for young people, their families, and their wider communities.
