  • Improve wellbeing, decision making and resilience
  • Provide positive role models
  • Increase employability and sense of achievement
  • Increase self-esteem, confidence and self-worth providing a sense of place and community.

Sessions are spilt between class work & physical activity. Kit will be provided, along with breakfast for those who need it, then later, lunch for all. Participants will complete SQA qualifications, Sports Leader Award, SFA coaching badges, and Saltire Volunteering Award, and will design and deliver a community citizenship project. Fostering positive community relationships, local Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service officers will attend plain clothed, working with and empowering participants. Participants will come together at Hampden for workshops delivered by Fast Forward, Leap Scotland, SAMH and SRTRC, before taking part in a football tournament.

Over 3 years, 180 participants will be supported by their respective club coaches and additional mentoring sessions, moving further towards, or into, the labour market or other positive outcomes.
