Project name: Alternative Routes #CashBack
Age range: 10-25 years
Alternative Routes #CashBack is designed to target early support for young people aged 10 – 25 who may be at risk of becoming involved in antisocial behaviour, offending or reoffending.
The project encourages young people to choose an alternative route, away from youth antisocial behaviour or crime, by supporting access to positive destinations.
The project offers person-centred, trauma-informed therapeutic supports for young people and their families to build their resilience and improve their physical/mental health and wellbeing.
The project also supports young people to access positive destinations through participation in diversionary activities that include education support, mentoring, sports, and employability-linked group work.
Project staff are skilled in evidence-based & trauma-informed approaches including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Harm/Risk Reduction Strategies, Parenting Programmes (PAFT), Coaching in Life Skills, as well as being trained to support young people with specific needs, e.g., neurodiversity.
Alternative Routes complements statutory youth justice provision and fills a gap with its focus on a holistic whole family approach.
