Project name: CashBack for Barmulloch
Age Range : 11-18
CashBack for Barmulloch delivers a programme of activities for young people, led by young people, who are most at risk of involvement in anti-social behaviour in Barmulloch and the surrounding areas.
The programme is delivered in a supportive environment with a focus on mental and physical health. Targeting young people aged 11-18, activities include boxing, female-only aerobics, cooking, socialising, group excursions, and access to sporting and cultural venues across the region. Delivery of the programme will be mostly at evenings and weekends and will be combine both diversionary and developmental elements for young people.
Barmulloch Community Development Trust will use its trusted position in the community as an anchor organisation to work with schools, Police Scotland, elected members, and statutory services to identify young people who would benefit from the project.
The overall evolution of the programme is led a newly created Youth Board – who will lead on the design and delivery of the offerings to local young people, supported by experienced youth leaders.
