Project name: CashBack Next Gen Creatives
Age range: 12 – 16 years
CashBack Next Gen Creatives is a youth-led project for 12-16 year olds to find their artistic outlet, have fun and express themselves. Working alongside industry professionals participants try out multiple disciplines including acting, dance and filmmaking. They then choose their own creative pathway where they develop their skills and build towards a showcase held at Eden Court.
Eden Court works with partner schools and community organisations to recruit young people who are at risk of coming into contact with the justice system. Participants work with a team of artist practitioners and are paired with a pastoral lead to support them throughout their journey. Through taking part in the programme participants build their confidence, make new friends and develop their creative and employability skills.
In addition to the main programme a smaller cohort takes part in a work experience placement over the summer where they gain real-world experience in a creative organisation.
