Project name: CashBack for Change Leith
Age range: 14-19 years
CashBack for Change Leith is a partnership between the Citadel and the Junction, which helps young people aged 14 to 19 who are at risk of getting involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour.
We do this by:
– Reaching Out – Delivering ‘detached’ youth work that builds on local knowledge and partnerships to meet young people where they are at in their communities.
– Open Youth Work – Inviting young people to design a new youth club with an exciting programme that meets their needs and enables them to build relationships with trusted adults in a safe space.
– Targeted Group Work – Recruiting regular attenders at the youth club to participate in educational group programmes exploring topics such as the law and drug/alcohol use.
– Linking In – Introducing young people to other services at the Citadel and the Junction, including a youth employability hub, volunteering opportunities, a substance-use service, a sexual health clinic, mental health support and counselling.
