Age range: 14-21 years

Stand Up, Speak Out with CashBack is a youth empowerment programme developed by Partick Thistle Charitable Trust in partnership with our Youth Panel to support young people aged 14-21 who are facing disadvantage, exclusion or at risk of offending.

Delivered from safe spaces in Firhill Stadium and venues across communities including Maryhill, Possil, and Ruchill participants will explore the issues that matter to them – such as youth violence, mental health, racism, or online safety, and develop youth-led campaigns to raise awareness and drive local change.

The Project will deliver:

Sports and Team Activities
– Sports, including football and other activities, are used to get young people involved in a positive and active way.
– Sessions build trust, confidence, resilience, and teamwork, whilst providing a healthy outlet for energy and stress.

Talking About Real Issues
– Group discussions and scenario-based activities give young people opportunities to talk about real-life issues affecting them including mental health, antisocial behaviour, and other challenges, helping young people share experiences and support each other.

Creating Change Together
– Participants are supported to plan and lead their own awareness campaigns on issues that matter to them including podcasts, social media content, creative arts, or talks local communities dealing with topics like knife crime and mental health.

Gaining Qualifications
– The programme offers opportunities to gain recognised awards, including the ASDAN Citizens Short Course and the Youth Scotland Dynamic Youth Award, helping participants towards education, training, or work.

Young people will be supported throughout the project by our staff, partners, and mentors.
