We’re proud to launch our Impact Report 2024-25, highlighting the difference CashBack for Communities has made across Scotland over the past year. Funded through the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the programme continues to reinvest in young people and communities, working with 29 partner organisations and delivering £6.2 million in funding.
This year, we supported over 15,000 young people. More than 7,000 were diverted from the justice system, reporting reduced involvement in antisocial or criminal activity. Almost 4,500 achieved positive destinations by gaining one or more accreditations, and over 11,800 reported an increase in their wellbeing. Young people also contributed more than 60,000 volunteering hours, showing strong engagement in their communities, and 10,524 reported positive changes in behaviour.
CashBack for Communities contributes to the delivery of the Scottish Government’s Vision for Justice in Scotland and supports the National Performance Framework. It also aligns with key policies including “Best Start, Bright Futures, Scotland’s Climate Change Plan, the Fair Work Framework, and Children’s Rights and the UNCRC in Scotland.”
Thank you to all our partners who make this work possible.
