Current Status: Young People Portfolio Build

We are pleased to share that the Young People Portfolio Build stage of the CashBack for Communities Phase 7 programme has now been completed. This marks the final step in the assessment process. We are grateful to those young people who contributed their time, effort and experience to this part of the assessment process.
Applicants will be informed of their application outcome in due course.
Overview:
The application window for Phase 7 of the CashBack for Communities programme closed on 7th August 2025.
Thank you to everyone who submitted an application to the CashBack for Communities Phase 7 programme. We received over 260 applications, requesting over £120 million in funding making the programme 4.5 times oversubscribed.
The number of applications received reflects strong interest in the funding opportunity from across Scotland.
During the application period, we hosted a series of online information webinars to support prospective applicants. These sessions were attended by more than 400 individuals, representing a wide range of organisations and sectors. We are grateful for the high level of engagement and interest in the programme.
Assessment Process:
All submitted applications are now undergoing a structured and multi-stage assessment process. This process is designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency in the evaluation of proposals.
The assessment process includes the following stages:
