Just Play – was funded to provide focused play sessions for families. This included, drop-in group sessions and a Dad’s group specifically for fathers and their children to attend, focusing on the important role fathers plays within the family.
Just Play worked in collaboration with other agencies such as Police Scotland, Social Work, Health, Education and the third sector to identify and refer families who would benefit from the service and may have a history of non engagement with other services, parents could also self refer to Just Play.
Just Play built confidence with a hard to reach audience through a simple but effective approach based on play and provided an informal, flexible support service to meet the needs of families.
